The power couple of Hollywood, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are heading towards divorce after just two years of marriage. They were together for 12 years. Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt, citing irreconcilable differences. According to the court documents, the pair separated on September 15, two years and one month after they married in August 2014. Jolie is seeking physical custody of their six children and asking the court to grant Pitt visitation. The couple have six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. They are together worth an estimated £308 million and are said to own a number of properties around the world including the sprawling Chateau Miraval in the south of France, an estate in Hollywood and a home in Santa Barbara worth an estimated $5 million.

In a statement to a magazine, Pitt said: “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”  Jolie was previously married to the actor Jonny Lee Miller after meeting on the set of Hackers in 1996 and Billy Bob Thornton after the pair made Pushing Tin in 1999. The actor vehemently denied that she began an affair with Pitt when they worked together as he was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
