Speculations are rife that, hero Suriya has converted to Islam. Few pictures and a video of Suriya at Kadapa Mosque are going viral on net. However, an official spokeperson of Suriya condemned the reports.
Clarifying the rumors, official spokesperson of Suriya says “The video was shot during Singam 2 shoot. On AR Rahman’s friendly request, Suriya had visited the mosque in Kadapa but news on converting to Islam is baseless”.
Interim, Suriya is busy shooting for Vignesh Shivan’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam with an ensemble of actors including Keerthy Suresh, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyan, Senthil and choreographer Shiva Shankar playing important roles.
Suriya also has a spy thriller with director Selvaraghavan for SR Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures in the pipeline.
