Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was released in theatres last Friday. The film was directed by Ayan Mukherjee of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fame. The film is causing a storm at the box office, while receiving mixed reviews.
Today, Tollywood actor Sudheer Babu revealed during the promotion of his upcoming film Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali that he missed out on a role in Brahmastra due to his hectic schedule.
He said that the reason he had to refuse the offer was that he had prior commitments to fulfill. He said that even though he had loved the script and thought the role to be an interesting one, he had been working on another film at the time called Sammohanam (2018).
The schedule of his 2018 film and Brahmastra overlapped, and as Sammohanam involved a bigger responsibility for him and the shoot was for fewer days, he turned down Mukerji’s film.
It's worth noting that Sudheer Babu previously played the villain in Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor's Baaghi. In Brahmastra, Nagarjuna, Shah Rukh Khan, Mouni Roy, and Amitabh Bachchan all had crucial roles.'
