Raghava Lawrence, Ritika Singh starrer Shivalinga directed by P Vasu and produced by Ramesh P Pillai under Abhishek Films Banner is all set to release worldwide on April 14th. The film will be released in Telugu under Suraksh Entertainments Banner.
In a press meet today, Lawrence said, “I have reached this stage from almost nothing. I have assistance of four important persons in my life to reach the stage- they are my mother, Lord Raghavendra Swamy, Rajinikanth who gave me the chance to become a dancer and Chiranjeevi gaaru who made me a choreographer. I thank all these four people. Shivalinga was a huge hit in Kannada. I liked Shakthi Vasu's performance in Kannada version. So, we extended his role in Telugu and Tamil versions. He will surely become a good actor. The film that has dancer like Lawrence and fighter like Ritika Singh will entertain one and all. Sarvesh Murari has shown me handsomely. I hope, like in Kannada, Shivalinga will become a huge hit in Telugu as well as in Tamil.”
P Vasu said, “The film was supposed to release in January. But, it has been delayed due to some technical reasons. We have great belief in the project to become a blockbuster. Ritika has played the role which was originally essayed in Kannada by Vedika. Ritika hasn't watched the original version and she acted as per my instructions. Lawrence is a good human-being, actor, director and dancer. Shakthi Vasu who won accolades for his acting in Kannada version has played a key role in Telugu, Tamil versions. As suggested by Lawrence master, we have extended Shakthi's role here. This movie will surely bring good name to everyone associated with it.”
Malkapuram Shivakumar said, “P Vasu directed Shivalinga in Kannada which was a runaway hit. We hope, it will do well in Telugu as well. This is immediate project for Ritika in Telugu after the super hit of Guru. Lawrence master enthralled with his exceptional show in Kanchana and Ganga. We hope, Shivalinga too will become a super hit like them. We are happy to release the film under our banner of Suraksha Entertainments.”
Shakthi Vasu said, “I acted alongside Shivarajkumar in Kannada vesrion of Shivalinga. I got good response there. Lawrence master has improvised my character in Telugu, Tamil. I treat Lawrence master like my own brother.”
Ritika Singh said, “Guru is a very special film for me. I'm really glad to do Shivalinga, after Guru. I'm really feeling proud to associate with senior director like P Vasu. I hope, I will earn good name with Shivalinga.”
Bellamkonda Suresh and Sarvesh Murari also attended the event.
