Updated : May 21, 2026

Chiranjeevi's 158th film is officially underway. Following the success of Waltair Veerayya, the veteran actor is reuniting with director Bobby Kolli for a new action drama produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions.

The project, tentatively titled #Mega158, was formally launched today in Hyderabad with a traditional pooja ceremony. The event saw a notable turnout from the Telugu film industry, with Pawan Kalyan attending as the chief guest to sound the first clapboard.

Sushmita Konidela switched on the camera, while filmmaker VV Vinayak directed the honorary first shot. Veteran directors B. Gopal and Kondarami Reddy, along with Nagababu, presented the script to the team.

Billed as a large-scale commercial entertainer, the film will reportedly feature Chiranjeevi in a physically demanding role, which aligns with the intense fitness training videos he recently shared on social media. Malayalam actor Anaswara Rajan has been officially cast in a prominent role, bringing fresh talent to the ensemble.

The core technical team comprises S Thaman handling the music composition and Vijay Karthik Kannan taking charge of the cinematography. With pre-production formalities now complete, principal photography is scheduled to begin tomorrow in Hyderabad.
