Updated : May 22, 2026

The post-production work for Nikhil Siddhartha's upcoming film Swayambhu is currently underway, with a major focus on visual effects. Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari and produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar, the period action drama requires a heavy amount of CG work.

The film features Samyuktha Menon and Nabha Natesh in the lead roles, with music composed by Ravi Basrur. Nikhil, along with cinematographer K.K. Senthil Kumar, recently visited Phantom FX Studios to personally check the progress of the footage.

According to the production team, the movie includes around 2700 VFX shots, and a crew of 750 technicians is working on the rendering and compositing. With a project of this scale, the VFX output will play a crucial role in the final product.

The team seems to be taking the necessary time to lock the graphics rather than rushing for a release date. We will have to wait and see how the visuals actually translate on the big screen when the film eventually hits theaters.
