Naga Chaitanya and Vikram K Kumar are officially reuniting for the highly anticipated second season of their supernatural thriller series, Dhootha. Following the massive viewership and critical acclaim of the first season on Amazon Prime Video, the makers are expanding the show's dark and eerie universe.

The project was formally launched today with a traditional puja muhurtham ceremony, where veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni attended as the chief guest and sounded the clapboard. Naga Chaitanya is jumping directly back into the digital space, this time, he is also stepping in as a co-producer.

This move signals his immense confidence in the new script and the franchise's long-term potential. Director Vikram K Kumar is returning to helm the series and is reportedly crafting a narrative with higher stakes, deeper mysteries, and more intense psychological thrills.

To support the central mystery, acclaimed actors Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar have joined the ensemble cast in pivotal roles. The sequel is expected to push the boundaries of its established supernatural setting, offering a gripping and immersive experience for the audience. The regular shooting will commence soon, with further cast details expected in the coming weeks.
