Mani Ratnam wanted to Cast these Superstars in Ponniyin Selvan

Mani Ratnam, who has directed many wonderful films, has now brought his dream project Ponniyin Selvan to the audience. Mani Ratnam directed this period action drama about the Cholas, who ruled India for thousands of years.

 

The novel Ponniyan Selvan was written by the well-known Tamil writer Kalki Krishnamurthy. The movie will be split into two parts. Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Aishwarya Lakshmi play the lead roles in the Tamil film.

 

Vikram as Aditha Karikalan, Jayam Ravi as Arunmozhi Varman, Karthi as Vallavarayan Vandivadevan, Aishwarya Rai as Nandini, and Trisha as Kundavai. First and foremost, the heroes of this film were thought to be different people.

 

Previously, Mani Ratnam had planned to cast Mahesh Babu and Thalapathy Vijay in Ponniyin Selvan. Mani Ratnam desired to cast Thalapathy Vijay in the role of Vallavarayan which is played by karthi Karthi and superstar Mahesh in the role of Arunmozhi Varman played by Jayam Ravi.

 

However, this pairing was not finalised because Mahesh and Vijay were both working on films. 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' movie released in Telugu states by Dil Raju. Ponniyan Selvan's movie was produced by Lyca Productions and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies banners with a huge budget. Music by AR Rahman while Cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by Srikar Prasad.
