Manamey is an entertaining film with a strong emotional connection Krithi Shetty

Dynamic hero Sharwanand is all set to deliver wholesome entertainment with his landmark 35th movie 'Manamey.' Krithi Shetty is playing the heroine in this movie. Under the direction of talented director Sriram Aditya, producer TG Vishwaprasad is producing the film in a grand manner under Ramsay Studios and the People Media Factory banner. The already released songs, teaser, and other promotional content have created a huge buzz with a tremendous response. 'Manamey' will have a grand release in theaters on June 7. In this context, heroine Krithi Shetty interacted with media about the film.

How is your character going to be in 'Manamey?

- My character's name in this is Subhadra. It will be different from the characters I have done till now. Very new to me. So far, I have done cute, soft, and bubbly characters. But this character is very strict. Is director Sriram Garu so strict during shooting! I asked that many times. He said that he wanted her to be so strict. I followed his vision.

Do you have similarities to Subhadra's character?

- Personally, I don't get angry. I do not shout loudly. I am very friendly. The character of Subhadra is completely new to me.

A baby is seen in the teaser. Will you be seen as a mother in this?

- I don’t know that. You will know when you see the movie (laughs). My character will be fully revealed only after watching the movie.

How was the working experience with Sharwanand?

- Sharwanand Garu is one of the finest performers. I saw the movie yesterday. He performed brilliantly in every scene. His experience was evident. I have a favorite scene in this. I waited a lot for that scene. I thought a lot about how to do it. But Sharwanand came very casually and finished the scene brilliantly in one minute. I was stunned.

- Sharwanand's performance is very difficult to match. It is a pleasure to work with him. There is also a baby in it. Shooting with a baby is not that easy. But Sharwanand handled it very beautifully. Very supportive.

What are the elements that attracted you when director Sriram Aditya narrated the story?

- We have an entertaining film with a strong emotional connection. It has a wonderful kid and parent emotion. It connects to a global audience. This movie revolves around our three characters. That's why we named ourselves 'Maname'. It is a perfect family entertainer. It connects with everyone. There is entertainment in every scene.

The response to Bebamma's character in Uppena was great. Will Subhadra's character get a similar response?

- I hope so. It depends on how the audience receives it. Uppena is a rustic love story. We are a rom-com. There is good emotion in my character in Maname. I hope the audience likes it.

How is the music in 'Manamey'?

- Hesham gave excellent music. All the songs are catchy. Tappa Tappa is a good dance number. The background score connects very well.

How did it feel to shoot a major part of this film abroad?

- We shot in London. London weather is very unpredictable. The house we shot in has many windows. Once a frame is set, the light changes. It rains suddenly. We had to wait until the light came back. It was a very difficult process.

How did it feel to work with the People Media Factory?

- Very passionate producers. A lot of care was taken while in London. TG Vishwaprasad is very sweet.

How do you balance success and failures?

- Success and failure are not in our hands. I have learned in this journey not to worry too much about things that are not in our control.

What kind of characters do you want to play?

- I like doing princess characters. Characters like Anushka in Baahubali. Also, roles with action and martial arts backdrops.

Upcoming films?

- I am doing three Tamil films. I am also doing a Malayalam film with Tovino Thomas.
