Updated : Jun 29, 2026

The promotional campaign for Irumudi has moved into its musical phase with the release of its first single, "Irumudi Kattu." Starring Ravi Teja, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Baby Nakshatra, the film has already generated curiosity with its first glimpse, which introduced an emotional father-daughter story layered with a spiritual backdrop centered on Lord Ayyappa.

The newly released song leans heavily into the devotional atmosphere associated with the Ayyappa Deeksha. Composer GV Prakash Kumar takes inspiration from traditional Ayyappa chants to create a tune that blends devotional flavour with a commercial appeal. Rather than being a conventional film song, "Irumudi Kattu" is designed to recreate the festive spirit of the pilgrimage season while retaining Ravi Teja's trademark energy.

Visually, the song stands out with its elaborate Padi Puja setting and vibrant production design. Ravi Teja is seen participating in the rituals alongside fellow devotees, while his energetic screen presence keeps the devotional number engaging. Priya Bhavani Shankar also makes her presence felt in the song, adding to its emotional appeal.

The lyrics, penned by director Shiva Nirvana along with Kalyan Chakravarthy, focus on devotion towards Lord Ayyappa and could resonate strongly with devotees during the Swamy Maala season. The combination of traditional references, grand visuals and a catchy composition gives the song the potential to connect beyond the film's promotional campaign.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi is positioned as an emotional family drama with a spiritual core. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 21, with the makers expected to intensify promotions in the coming weeks.
