Updated : Jun 27, 2026

Director Abhishek Nama’s upcoming epic adventure thriller Nagabandham – The Secret Treasure is creating substantial buzz ahead of its July 3 global release, driven by its massive scale and an intriguing behind-the-scenes production journey. Tech entrepreneurs turned producers Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy recently shared the fascinating story of how they ended up investing over ₹110 crores into this ambitious project.

After successfully exiting their software startup, the duo looked to diversify into cinema. While they initially hoped to debut with a top-tier star, being unproven newcomers forced them to pivot. It was then that director Abhishek Nama won them over with a meticulous script and extensive pre-production design.

The producers, who are deeply spiritual, genuinely believe divine intervention guided the film. In fact, the final shooting schedule wrapped up on Karthika Pournami, precisely during a continuous 24-hour holy ritual. The technical process came with its own set of challenges, particularly the financial and creative balancing act between constructing real, physical sets and utilizing digital visual effects.

To maintain an immersive experience, the production avoided outdoor locations for key sequences and instead built a sprawling, highly authentic replica of the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple. With visual high points promised every ten minutes, the producers are confident that the final cinematic output completely justifies their massive financial risk.
