Srimanthudu is biggest hit in Superstar Mahesh Babu’s career. At the same time, the film is bringing unnecessary troubles to the actor.

A novel writer Sharath Chandra filed case against Srimanthudu director Koratala Siva, hero Mahesh Babu and also producers of Mythri Movies claiming the film’s story was copied from his novel.

Mahesh Babu’s lawyers argued that, the actors presence in the court may not be required as he didn’t involve in penning story or directing the film. However, the judge refused to accept the plea of Mahesh Babu's lawyers to relieve the actor from personal appearance in this case.

Court asked Mahesh Babu to appear in person in the next hearing.

Presently, Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva are working together for the second time for the film titled "Bharath Ane Nenu" for which a new writer penned story.
