Bichagadu film was a sensation in Telugu states, and especially the family audiences flocked to the theatres back then in 2016. It released in clash with Mahesh Babu's Brahmostavam and created sensation by collecting solid numbers.

Bichagadu 2, acted and directed by Vijay Antony, has released yesterday, and it has registered very good openings in the Telugu states. It looks like the brand value of the name Bichagadu worked out at box office.

On day one, Bichagadu 2 collected a distributor share of 64 lakhs (exclusive of GST), which is a pretty good number. The film Telugu gross is 4 crores which is more than Tamil language gross. The movie is expected to perform well over the weekend.

Kavya Thapar played the leading lady. Hareesh Peradi, Radha Ravi, Y.G. Mahendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, John Vijay, and Dev Gill are seen in other crucial roles. Fathima Vijay produced the movie under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner. Vijay Antony is also the music composer for Bichagadu 2.
