Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna's prestigious 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni that has universal appeal will soon be released in Tamil. The King Satakarni is pretty popular not just in Telugu states, but also in many other states in India. In fact, more than Telugus, Tamils and Marathis are far familiar with  the 2nd century AD Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni.

RNC Cinemas has acquired GPSK Tamil rights and is planning to release the Tamil version in over 200 screens with the same title. Shriya Saran played female lead in the film that minted over 50 cr share, wherein Hema Malini essayes a crucial role as Balakrishna's mother.

Of late, many films are being dubbed in Tamil and few are shining at Tamil Box office. With historical films being a craze among Tamil audiences now, producers of other language movies wants to cash in on the situation. Hope, GPSK Tamil version will do wonders like it did in Telugu!
