Trade pundits and many predicted that, it is highly impossible for any Hindi or other language films to reach Baahubali 2 box office figure. The SS Rajamouli directed movie has already crossed 1500 cr mark is expected to rake around 2000 crores for full run.

Nonetheless, the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal that released across the border in China a few weeks ago has been doing roaring business at the box office. In fact the film which features Aamir Khan playing the role of real life wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat has been welcomed with open arms within the Chinese markets. 

As per trade reports, with its unbelievable performance at China box office, Dangal is shrinking the gap between its worldwide gross and that of ‘Baahubali 2’ at jet speed. While Baahubali 2 collected Rs 1538 crore gross worldwide, by collecting an unprecedented $112 million (721 crore) in the 17 days since its release in China alone, Dangal took its worldwide cumulative to Rs 1501 crore.

Apparently, Dangal is all set to beat ‘Baahubali 2’ at most by Tuesday. Baahubali 2 will no more be the ‘No.1 Indian blockbuster’ unless it performs well in China when the film hits screens there in a few months.
