Amitabh Bachchan and Varun Dhawan are coming together for a Pradeep Sarkar film called Dabba Gul, produced by Yash Raj Films. Bachchan Sr plays the head of the dabbawalas in Mumbai whereas Varun is an MBA topper and he decides to enrol for a two-month internship with the dabbawalas.
The film that is being produced by Yash Raj Films will see Amitabh and Varun in leading roles in this slice-of-life, feel-good film. We hear, the story traces the relationship between Bachchan and Dhawan’s characters as the former teaches him the ropes of the business.
While it is a feel-good film, Dabba Gul touches upon the subject of dignity of labour and is believed to have humour on the lines of the Munna Bhai franchise. Amitabh's dates are being locked and Varun is also trying hard to fit the film into his packed schedule. On the work front, Amitabh will be seen opposite Aamir Khan in YRF's 'Thugs Of Hindostan', while Varun, on the other hand, is currently shooting for 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' opposite Alia Bhatt.
