Indian Cinema is celebrating it's 100 years on May 3, 2013 and Akkineni Nagarjuna is happy that his film Greeku Veerudu is releasing on the same day. Known best for his friendly nature and versatile movies, Nagarjuna spoke to media about his upcoming movie Greeku Veerudu.

Q : Hello sir, How are you ?
Nagarjuna : Doing good and I’m happy about the final out put of Greeku Veerudu film.

Q : Greeku Veerudu Trailer received good response. Film Lovers are saying that the trailer looked in the mode of Dasarath's Santosham, Mr Perfect movies.
Nagarjuna : Well yes, Dasarath's movies are of that pattern and im not denying it. This film will be definitely on those lines and its a feel good movie without any bad people. In short, all I can say is that 'Greeku Veerudu' is a mixture of emotions, romance and comedy.

Q : Tell us about your characterization in Greeku Veerudu
Nagarjuna : My characterization is one of the main reasons for me to accept this film. In fact, it has got some negative shades (smiles) and you can come to a conclusion about my character in this film after listening to I hate love stories song. Hero's character feels that the love is pain. Not only with his girl friend but with everyone including his family.

Q : Your are giving a tough competition  for the young heroes with your dances
Nagarjuna : (Smiles) Don't compare me with them. These generation hero's are too good with their moves. Especially Jr NTR in Baadshah, his movements were excellent and also Ram Charan for the song Vaana Vaana in 'Racha'.

Q : Telugu cinema audience seems to be habituated to like the movies with loads of entertainment rather than the intense films. What is your take on this ?
Nagarjuna : Comedy is always a safe bet. Everyone is tired after their day to day work and they expect entertaining movies from us which is a relief for them.

Q : Are you interested to do an intense kind of movie now ?
Nagarjuna : Definitely, I would like to do a film like 'Shiva' but I don't know if those might work today or not. Films like Arundhati have succeeded at the box-office but to try film in that genre, you need a perfect script. Entertainment movies are the current trend and these days everyone is mixing entertainment even in action films and songs. As I said, its always a safe bet and I feel its a good trend.

Q : Dont you think that today's comedians are cutting down the hero's space ?
Nagarjuna : Well we actors should be happy that they are taking of the burden from us. Brahmanadam, MS Narayana etc are doing fantastic job. The moment Brahmanandam enters into the scene, audience are feeling happy.

Q : How are you able to change your look frequently ?
Nagarjuna : The credit goes to my stylist Sachin. I regularly visit Mania saloon and my stylist came up with many options and I have finally decided to go with this look, which is some what similar to that of Robert Downey Jr in Iron Man 3.

Q : Irrespective of hits and flops, you have encourage new talent right from the beginning of your
 career. It was heard that Amrutham fame harsha is writing the dialogues for the Akkineni Multi-starrer movie ?
Nagarjuna : Yes. I Knew Harsha from a very long time. He has written some 10-12 dialogues initially and I liked them a lot. Even before the release of 'Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyindhe', we have signed him for the dialogues. I watched the film GJG and it was fantastic. Adding to this, Harsha is a good friend to our director Vikram and its very important for the director and dialogue writer to have a good rapport. Look at the movies made by Vijaybhaskar and Trivikram in the past.

Q : It was you who introduced Dasarath as a director. Any changes in him from Santosham to Greeku Veerudu ?
Nagarjuna : He has improved a lot and has become a better director. Dasaradh never wanted to be a director but impressed by his narration skills, it was me who proposed his name as a director for the film Santosham. Today, I’m happy that he has become a better director.

Q : Working with Nayanathara for the second time.
Nagarjuna : Nayanathara is a professional actress. It's always good to act with a person like her and she has got lot of dedication towards the work. She takes care of everything starting from her dialogues, costumes and every thing.

Q : Apart from the upcoming Akkineni multi-starrer movie, are you planning to produce any movie with Chaitanya under Annapoorana Studios ?
Nagarjuna : I have been listening to lots of stories but none of them were interesting. But we are on the process and I will make sure that it happens very soon. Chaitanya has got fantastic role in our Multi-starrer movie.

Q : What about Autonagar Surya ?
Nagarjuna : I really don't know what is going on.

Q : If given a chance, what films of yours, do your suggest Naga Chaitanya to remake ?
Nagarjuna : Some of my films have become cult hits like Shiva, Hello Brother, Ninne Pelladutha etc. I feel its better not to touch them. I was already a star by the time Hello Brother film began and that is the reason why people were able to accept me in those roles. I think it will take some time for Naga Chaitanya to achieve that stardom.

Q : Speculations were made that you are planning to enter into politics

Nagarjuna : I have already clarified on this and I’m saying it again "Im not interested in politics". Please don't drag me into those things.

Q : Any updates regarding Akhil's entry ?
Nagarjuna : We haven't planned regarding that and we will let you people know about it if there is any.
