Akkineni Nagarjuna’s devotional film Om Namo Venkatesaya has opened to poor collections. While the movie was pretty weak on day one, collections didn’t pick on Saturday and Sunday. As per trade reports, the film directed by K Raghavendra Rao minted Rs 7 crores worldwide for first weekend which is lowest opening figure for Nagarjuna in recent times.

ONV had done exceptional pre-release business. In fact, buyers spent huge amount on the project, believing in Nagarjuna and KRR. The indeed thought Nag’s success streak will continue for ONV. Much to their disappointment, the movie underperformed at box office in its opening weekend.

ONV is needed to recover Rs 37 crores from theaters as to become a safe venture. With disappointing start, the movie has now become a nightmare for buyers. Trade pundits predict this movie will provide heavy losses for distributors!
