Updated : May 29, 2026

CM Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, produced by KVN Productions, continues to be one of the most talked-about projects in Tamil cinema. Questions about the film's release continue to persist, while the leak reportedly made several investors cautious. Still, Vijay becoming CM helped to rejuvenate interest. Now, director H. Vinoth is said to have taken a revolutionary decision.

According to reports, Vinoth is said to have written off a significant portion of his pending remuneration for the film. The director has reportedly let go of nearly 50% of his balance payment to reduce the financial burden on the producer, even before the film's release.

While there is no official confirmation regarding the development, the speculation has quickly become a talking point in trade circles. If the reports are true, the move would be considered unusual given the scale of the project and the remuneration commanded by leading filmmakers.

Neither H. Vinoth nor KVN Productions has responded to the rumours so far. Whether there is any truth to the reports remains to be seen, but the gossip has certainly grabbed attention across Kollywood circles. Several projects are waiting for the film's release to avoid a clash but their wait continues.

Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju are playing leading ladies in this film, while Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj will appear as antagonists. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander has composed music for the film and release has been delayed for the past 6 months due to never-ending censor issues.
