Updated : May 30, 2026

Ajith Kumar's much-discussed AK64 with director Adhik Ravichandran is reportedly not going on floors anytime soon. With the project facing delays, fresh industry gossip suggests that Adhik could complete another film before returning to the Ajith starrer.

According to buzz, the director recently met Nandamuri Balakrishna and narrated a storyline that reportedly impressed the actor. While there is no official confirmation yet, the possibility of a collaboration has started generating interest in trade circles.

However, Balakrishna's schedule is already packed. The actor is expected to begin work on his next film with Gopichand Malineni, tentatively referred to as NBK111. Reports also suggest that discussions are underway with Vivek Athreya for a potential NBK112. With two projects already in the conversation, it remains to be seen where Adhik's proposal fits into Balakrishna's future lineup.

On the other hand, fans are also waiting for clarity on Ajith Kumar's next acting venture. The actor is currently focused on The Gladiators, a documentary based on his racing journey that is being produced by Ajith himself and is gearing up for release.
