Tamil veteran actor Sathyaraj who essayed the crucial role of Kattappa in Baahubali franchise has tendered unconditional apology to Kannadigas for his controversial remarks in Cauvery waters dispute. Seems like, problems surrounding Baahubali: The Conclusion release in Karnataka are almost resolved with Pro Kannada activists withdraw protest and call off bandh against the movie. However, Sathyaraj is in big trouble now.
Pro Kannada organization leader V Nagraj warned Sathyaraj stating, “Ensure you (Sathyaraj) don't use derogatory terms against Kannadigas. If you do, your future movies will be banned in Karnataka.”
On the flip side, Sathyaraj statement would have hurt Tamils. Though the actor didn't utter a word against Tamils and only apologized Kannadigas, it still would hurt Tamils because it is a very sensitive issue. Thus, this incident would bring troubles to Sathyaraj in Tamil Nadu as well as Karnataka. He should be conscious in making any statements from now on at least for few months, until everyone forgets the issue!
