Senagapappu Rasam

 

 

Ingredients :

Bengal Gram 1cup(soaked in water for 4 hrs)

White onion 1

Small onions 5

Green chillies 5(according to your taste)

Curry leaves

Cumin seeds 1/2 spoon

Mustard seeds 1/2 spoon

Garlic cloves 3

Tamarind small lemon size(soaked in water for 30 min)

Coriander powder 1/2 spoon

Fenugreek powder 1/2 spoon

Soak Bengal gram for 4 hours.

 

Method :

Take a pan and put oil and let it heat. Then put cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and let them splutter. Then put green chilies, onion fry it till they become brownish.

Then add ground garlic cloves, turmeric, small onions and Bengal gram. Let it cook for 3 minutes. Then add tamarind paste, salt, coriander powder, cumin seeds, fenugreek powder.

Let it boil for 8 to 10 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Before switching off the stove, add some coriander leaves to it.

Tasty senaga pappu pulusu is ready to eat. It will be good with rice.
