What Uncle It is Wrong Uncle to Thanks Uncle

May 11, 2026

Thalapathy Vijay made a massive statement when he launched his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, loudly declaring that his direct political war was against MK Stalin led DMK and his government. He projected himself as the ultimate alternative to Dravidian rule but in political game of thrones, he needed the rival support.

Interestingly, after the recent TN elections, Vijay managed to take the oath as the Leader of the House today in the assembly and form the government, officially. However, he could not achieve this power on his own. To reach the magic number, he desperately needed the backing of DMK's alliance parties.

In a major political twist, except for the Congress, all the other alliance parties sought direct permission from MK Stalin before extending their official support to Vijay's TVK. Acknowledging this crucial help, Vijay, right after taking his oath, visited Stalin’s residence to meet MK Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin.

The man who started his campaign with a fierce "What Uncle It is Wrong Uncle" attitude towards the DMK leadership ultimately had to rely on their green signal to secure CM position. This dramatic shift looks like he is saying, "Thanks Uncle" post elections and after all the high drama. It is nothing short of a Vijay blockbuster film and Tamil people seem to be clearly noticing all political moves of Vijay with magnifying glass.

It is heartening to see, how AIADMK led by MGR and Jayalalitha hated to even acknowledge existence of DMK and conduct dramatic mid-night arrests and put pressure on other with criminal charges, money laundering cases, to Vijay, personally going to MKS residence. Change is here but how honest question political experts.
