Suriya is one of the most popular actors in South Cinema. The actor delivered a huge blockbuster with Karuppu previously and he joined hands with director Venky Atluri. The director made an unanimous hit like Lucky Baskhar. So, their collaboration for Vishwanath and Sons raised humungous anticipation. The movie released today and let's discuss about it in detail.

Plot

Sanjay Vishwanath (Suriya) wins gold medal in Olympics, to fulfill his mother (Radhikaa)'s wishes. But he has issues with getting married while his mother edges him. He decides to get a surrogate baby and finds Maddy J (Mamitha Baiju) as the surrogate mother. While they do not meet earlier, as his son Abhay needs bone marrow transplantation, he meets Maddy. She is a medical student and accepted to become a surrogate for her tuition fees.

Sanjay brings her to his home and she connects with the family. She connects with Sanjay more than her son. But Sanju keeps pushing away as his childhood trauma is connected to his father (Rajeev Menon) choosing to marry an actress (Raveena Tandon) for second time. Will he ever get over this trauma and accept Maddy, despite age difference? Watch the movie to know more.

Analysis

Suriya delivered a remarkable performance balancing every emotion. His charm and his stylish look work big time in carrying the film. Mamitha Baiju is confident, superb and fantastic in her performance. She is the livewire. Radhikaa and Raveena Tandon got very believable mother roles. Their performances are heart touching. Sunil Reddy is good.

GV Prakash Kumar music is decent for the film. He elevated key moments with his good score. Nimish Ravi cinematography and Navin Nooli editing are apt for the movie. Production values are top notch and technical values elevate the story.

Venky Atluri as a writer delivers his best in crafting emotional drama. His dialogues stand out and elevate emotions. In the second half, he came up with brilliant lines and connect with each emotion. Each character gets a good scene and line that really makes the movie stand-out.

As a director though he did take a very safe template and screenplay does tend to drag at few places. Also the movie takes it own time to establish all the emotions but the pay-offs work big time. Family audiences and youth will connect to the movie in a big way. He blended the emotions and comedy making it a perfect treat to watch.
