The buzz around Mahesh Babu’s appearance as Lord Ram in Varanasi continues to grow, and writer Vijayendra Prasad has now added more excitement by speaking about the much-discussed sequence. At the Varanasi To World event, it had already been unveiled that Mahesh Babu would appear as Lord Ram in a major war episode.
Vijayendra Prasad has now further hyped up the sequence by confirming that the stretch will run for nearly 30 minutes and feature a massive clash with Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Kumbhakarna. The veteran writer described the sequence as one of the film’s major highlights and suggested that the battle has been mounted on a grand scale.
Expectations are naturally soaring given Rajamouli’s reputation for staging visually immersive action and elevating confrontations into theatrical spectacles. The Lord Ram–Kumbhakarna battle is already emerging as one of the most talked-about portions of the film.
With Mahesh Babu entering mythological territory and Prithviraj taking on one of the epic’s most powerful characters, the sequence has become a major point of anticipation surrounding Varanasi. Several reports suggest that makers are now concentrating on closing OTT deal on higher pricing than the market is offering at the moment but movie is locked for 7th April 2027 release under any circumstances.
