Spider-Man character has been one of the most fan favourite among superheroes and his films have been consistent in drawing crowds to theatres. While Superman, Batman films did struggle from version to version and adaptation to adaptation, Spider-Man films did manage to sustain interest with three different leads playing them. 

Tom Holland's version has to be credited as most successful but Marvel Cinematic Universe has always made it two hero collaboration with Spidey at the center. Tony Stark's constant guidance in first two films and then, bringing Multiverse angle with Doctor Strange kept the narrative running. 

Following the same principle, they have brought in Bruce Banner/ Hulk into the equation. While multiverse saga used the opportunity to bring in all three actors who played Spidey on screen together, mutation angle in this new film seems to set up integration of mutants into the grand MCU cycle for Avengers: Doomsday. 

The trailer explores more darker themes of self-loss and preservation rather than just hitting at new big baddie. Hulk who is known for losing himself besides Spider-Man who is on the verge of mutating himself does make it fun. Zendaya's MJ and Ned to remember Spidey or not, we have to wait till 31st July for the answers.
