
Director Buchi Babu Sana is currently gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film, Peddi, starring Ram Charan. Recently, the filmmaker shared some interesting behind-the-scenes insights regarding the project's inception, casting, and its emotional core.
Buchi Babu revealed that the script for Peddi was actually penned long before his debut film, Uppena, and was written with only Ram Charan in mind. Following Uppena's release, director Sukumar facilitated a meeting between him and Ram Charan. According to Buchi Babu, the actor approved the story in a single sitting without suggesting a single correction, making him the sole reason the film exists today. The director also took the opportunity to clear the air regarding ongoing industry rumors, firmly clarifying that he never narrated the story of Peddi to Jr NTR.
Speaking about the narrative structure, the director promised that the final act of the movie will leave a lasting impact on the audience. Much like the bold and talked-about ending of his debut, Buchi Babu stated that the last 40 minutes of Peddi will be highly emotional and highly unconventional. With this unique approach to its climax, the film is shaping up to be an intriguing cinematic experience. AR Rahman is scoring music and he completed majority of BGM works.
The movie is said to be locked at 183 minutes run-time with Shruthi Haasan in a special song. Janhvi Kapoor is playing the leading lady role while Shiva Rajkumar as Goura Naidu and Divyenndu as Rambujji. Venkata Satish Kilaru is producing the film and the 350 crores Pan-India film is releasing on 4th June. The movie trailer is releasing on 18th May and Pan-India promotions are starting with it.
