Oh Sukumari Movie starring Thiruveer and Aishwarya Rajesh released today in theatres. Jhansi, Srinivas Gavireddy, and Muralidhar Goud are playing prominent roles. Let's discuss about the film in detail.

Plot:
Damini (Aishwarya Rajesh) is a lively young woman with a bizarre condition since birth—anyone who touches her gets a lethal electric shock. Fearing her, the villagers want to either banish her or marry her off. Meanwhile, Yadagiri (Thiruveer), an aspiring politician looking to get married urgently, falls in love with her at first sight. Will Yadagiri marry her despite the danger? How did Damini get this condition, and is there a cure? Watch the movie to know more.

Analysis:

Though the core concept of a girl giving electric shocks is interesting, the screenplay feels very outdated. The movie starts with a curious opening scene but quickly turns into a routine drama. The conflict of the villagers wanting to banish Damini lacks logic, and the interval twist is highly predictable.

Thiruveer perfectly suits his role as Yadagiri and gives a solid performance throughout. Aishwarya Rajesh shines naturally, pulling off emotional and entertaining scenes with great ease. The comedy track between Thiruveer and his uncle offers some relief. However, the weak writing often overshadows their earnest acting efforts.

The second half is derailed with illogical and unnecessary scenes, making the first half look much better in comparison. The story fails to move forward smoothly, and the pre-climax portions test the viewer's patience. Furthermore, the climax and the reasoning behind Damini's condition completely fail to convince the audience.

On the technical front, the movie is largely underwhelming. The songs composed by Bharat Manchiraju are not catchy, and the background score fails to elevate the mood of the scenes. Khushendar Reddy's cinematography is basic, though the overall production values from Ganga Entertainments remain decent.

Positives:
Unique core concept
Aishwarya Rajesh's performance
Thiruveer's performance

Negatives:
Outdated screenplay
Poor direction
Weak second half

Bottomline: An unimpressive screenplay ruins a unique concept

Rating: 2/5
