Director Abhishek Nama said Nagabandham was envisioned as a tribute to India's rich cultural heritage and Sanatana Dharma. He revealed that the film blends mythology, adventure and devotion on a scale he had always dreamt of, adding that every frame has been designed to offer audiences a memorable visual experience dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Anantha Padmanabha Swamy.

The biggest endorsement, however, came from producer Kishore Annapureddy. He admitted that he was nervous about the film until he watched the final cut.
