Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, grandson of legendary Superstar Krishna, is all set to make his acting debut with Srinivasa Mangapuram, directed by Ajay Bhupathi. Co-starring Rasha Thadani and Dr. Mohan Babu, the raw and rustic emotional drama is slated for a worldwide release on July 30. Produced by P. Kiran and presented by Ashwini Dutt, the film has generated strong buzz through its teaser, trailer, and songs.
Speaking to the media, Jaya Krishna revealed that Mahesh Babu has been his biggest guiding force throughout the journey. "Mahesh uncle guides me in every aspect. He watched the film and felt very happy. He messaged me saying he loved the action sequences and songs. He also said I looked very different on screen and had completely immersed myself in the character," the young actor shared.
Expressing gratitude for being launched under the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner, Jaya Krishna said he shares a close bond with Ashwini Dutt. He also revealed that he underwent an intensive three-month workshop under director Ajay Bhupathi to prepare for the role, working on his performance, body language, and dialogue delivery.
Talking about his character, Jaya Krishna described Srinu as a mischievous and fun-loving youngster who knows exactly what he wants. "He loves Manga, and the way their story unfolds is going to surprise audiences. This is not a template love story. It is very realistic, filled with raw emotions, unexpected twists, and rooted characters," he said. He also praised GV Prakash Kumar's music and the film's visuals for bringing a fresh appeal to the narrative.
The debutant admitted that carrying the Ghattamaneni legacy comes with responsibility but sees it as positive pressure. "Fans supported me even before they knew I was making my debut. I want to live up to their expectations by choosing good stories that entertain audiences," he said. A trained martial artist, Jaya Krishna is particularly excited for viewers to watch the action episodes, which were filmed extensively during a 70-day outdoor schedule. Backed by Mahesh Babu's appreciation and the team's confidence, he believes Srinivasa Mangapuram will offer audiences an unforgettable cinematic experience when it hits theatres.
