
Madala Ravi started his inspiring journey as a child actor in Erra Mallelu made by his father Madala Ranga Rao, and his song "Nampally Station Kadi" was a blockbuster hit that topped the charts for many decades and won many awards as well. He studied MD in Internal Medicine and DM in Gastroenterology in Russia, and also worked as the managing director for a leading pharmaceutical company. He also served as a cultural secretary for Indian organizations and for cultural affairs in Russia.
Coming back to India, he started his production house and produced and acted as a hero in many films like Nenu Saitham, Maa Ilavelpu, Broker 2, Panchamukhi, Veeragadha, Aaj Ka Inquilaab, Naag Laxmi, and many more. He continues to work as an actor and filmmaker.

Holding specialized medical qualifications as an MD in Internal Medicine and a DM in Gastroenterology, Dr. Madala Ravi’s true medical practice extends far beyond hospital doors. His outreach consistently prioritizes working-class families, daily wage laborers, and underprivileged communities who rarely have access to specialized gastroenterology care. By providing consultations and care selflessly, he has rightfully earned the reputation of a true "People's Doctor."
As a leader of Praja Natya Mandali and Left parties like the CPI and CPI(M), he has led and participated in numerous public agitations. He firmly believes that art is the most powerful tool to sensitize people against social atrocities and injustices.
Dr. Madala Ravi, the Vice President of Movie Artists Association (MAA), continues to support the welfare of MAA members through Medical Services, Free Health camps, and Also he took active part in all welfare schemes for the film fraternity and for the underprivileged workers.
