Kalyan Ram says, Amigos will surprise us as it did him

Nandamuri Kalyanram is known for his knack in selecting unique scripts right from the beginning of his career. He has scored a blockbuster with Bimbisara recently. His next is titled as Amigos and he will be seen in 3 different look-alikes but unrelated to each other in the film.
Ashika Ranganath is playing the leading lady in the film. Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar producing the film under Mythri Movie Makers banner and Ghibran is scoring music. The film is written and directed by Rajendra Reddy is releasing on February 10th. Ahead of the release, the actor interacted with the media.
Talking about the pressure after Bimbisara success, he said "I think Bimbisara success didn't change anything. I okayed Bimbisara, Amigos, and Devil in 2020. Before starting Bimbisara, I finalized Amigos, and during the shoot of Bimbisara, I gave the green signal to Devil. I don't take pressure of success.
Talking about how Amigos happened he said, I knew Mythri producers after Janatha Garage. I've always wanted to do a film in the banner. So when Mythri approached me with Amigos script, and I liked it very much. It isn’t my intention to do a triple role, but the concept was very interesting.
Talking about his confidence on story and director Rajendra Reddy. He said "The story itself was very interesting, which made me believe in him. Honestly, I didn't know what is dopplegangers and he narrated it so well. Generally would be grey shades for the protagonist in our movies, but in Amigos hero himself is the villain. There is only one heroine."
Talking about his choice of films, he explained that "This is not an experimental movie. 118 is the only experimental movie that I did. Every other film of mine is very commercial, and I make sure my films are narrated in an interesting and new way."
Now world cinema is at the tip of our fingers. We are able to see a lot of quality content through various OTT platforms. The only thing I make sure of is not to repeat the characters I have played. It becomes monotonous if I repeat the characters." He said that he will be making conscious effort to update him.
We will start the shooting of Bimbisara 2 probably by this year-end. Apart from this, we are done with 70% of Devil shooting, and the entire production part will get completed mostly by May. And we are planning to release the film most likely in August or September.
The actor skipped two questions during the interaction. Meanwhile, Is your brother NTR's movie 'Amigos'? He said that it is better to skip the question. He said that he cannot comment on this. Media also asked question about Taraka Ratna's health. Responding to this, he said that it would be better if the doctors release a statement about it. He said it was not correct for him to comment.
