Akhil Akkineni has been promoting his upcoming film, Lenin. The actor is giving interviews and he made several interesting comments. While maintaining Lenin will be fresh and grand. He stated that he doesn't think of himself as a star even though his father Nagarjuna and grandfather ANR have been legends.
He said, "I think an actor achieves stardom when they give 3-4 back to back blockbusters and set themselves among audience hearts. That is a star who is set for life. I am no where near that. I have a long way to go and Lenin could be the first one in that journey, hopefully."
Akhil further added that he heard few stories and is ready to act in back to back films. He stated that post Agent, he had to take 16 month break due to hand injury that needed him to go for micro surgeries. He further revealed that he had decided to start his next film from September and will make official announcement around the time.
Talking about Nagarjuna's involvement in Lenin, he said, "My wife and Mom are really upset that my father put his rule of no work at home for me. We both discussed only about the film and he is hands on involved in the edit, shoot and improving each scene. We are confident that it will be loved by audiences."
Akhil interestingly stated that putting established stars aside, young actors like him need to concentrate on giving something fresh to audiences every time. Bhagyashri Borse is playing leading lady in the film and Murali Kishore Abburu is debuting as a director. Naga Vamshi is co-producing it with Nagarjuna.
