The crime comedy family thriller ‘Sampradayini Suppini Suddapoosani’, produced and headlined by noted actor Shivaji under the banner of Sri Shivaji Productions, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on March 6. Shivaji and Laya, who earlier delivered several hit films together and earned popularity as a successful pair, are reuniting once again in this film.
Directed by Sudheer Sriram, the movie is jointly produced by Shivaji and leading OTT platform ETV Win. Prominent producers Bunny Vasu and Vamsi Nandipati are releasing the film in theatres through their banners. A press meet was held in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, hero and producer Shivaji said that the film will release globally on March 6. He expressed happiness over the film being released with the support of ETV Win, Bunny Vasu, and Vamsi Nandipati. He stated that the project was initially planned for a theatrical release and was made as envisioned. Though ETV Win was looking for fresh original content for OTT, the team felt the film would offer a better theatrical experience and decided to release it in cinemas. He said everyone who watched the film laughed heartily and expressed confidence that it is a good film that will appeal to all audiences. Shivaji thanked director Anil Ravipudi for supporting the theatrical release.
ETV Win Business Head Saikrishna said it is a delight that Shivaji and Laya are acting together again after a long gap. He described the film as a crime comedy family thriller and expressed confidence that audiences will enjoy it in theatres and extend their support.
Actress Laya said she initially felt both happy and slightly disappointed when the film was planned for OTT release, as she always associates films with the theatre experience since childhood. She expressed joy that the film is now releasing in theatres and thanked everyone responsible. She said she is eagerly waiting, like the audience, to watch the film and believes it will mark a strong beginning to her second innings. She added that the film contains all elements required for success and should be experienced in theatres for its emotional impact.
Bunny Vasu said director Anil Ravipudi encouraged them to release the film in theatres after watching it. With Shivaji’s confidence, they decided on a theatrical release. He appreciated Shivaji’s performance, stating that he has reached another level after his films in the 1990s. He also praised Laya’s performance, saying her role will be memorable. He expressed confidence that the combination of crime thriller and family emotion will make the film a success.
Vamsi Nandipati said Shivaji and Laya’s hit combination is returning to the big screen with this film. He expressed happiness in associating with his favorite actress Laya and described the film as a thriller and entertainer. He voiced confidence that the film will become a blockbuster.
Director Sudheer Sriram said the film was initially planned for OTT, but after Anil Ravipudi watched it and suggested a theatrical release, the team decided to bring it to cinemas. He said it felt like a miracle that ETV Win and Shivaji agreed to the decision. He added that good content has found its way to theatres and announced that a new trailer will be released soon.
Actor Ali said the director has made the film in a neat and engaging manner. He invited audiences to watch and enjoy the film in theatres on March 6 and expressed confidence that the Shivaji–Laya combination will achieve success once again.
