The movie has been trapped in a difficult position after its scheduled January release was indefinitely halted over severe censorship disputes. Showing immense industry unity, Chiranjeevi pointed out that such acts of piracy are incredibly harmful to the cinema ecosystem and the livelihoods of countless workers.

He shares a close professional bond with the makers, as KVN Productions is the driving force behind both Jana Nayagan and his own upcoming Telugu project. He appealed to the public to understand the pain of the creators and avoid sharing the leaked footage.
