Nivin Pauly has done it again, but this time the speed of the achievement makes the success even more significant. Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has crossed the Rs 100 crore worldwide mark, becoming his second film to enter the elite club after Sarvam Maya. However, unlike his previous blockbuster, the Girish A.D. directorial has reached the milestone much faster, underlining the extraordinary theatrical momentum it has generated during the Onam season. Sarvam Maya had become Nivin's first Rs 100 crore grosser earlier this year.

The bigger surprise has been the film's weekday performance. Instead of slowing down after the opening weekend, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit actually jumped on Tuesday. The film reportedly collected ₹7.9 crore net in India on Day 5, a 14.49% increase over Monday and more than 60% higher than its opening day. That is now being reported as the biggest Tuesday collection for a Malayalam film in 2026, surpassing Drishyam 3.

This is where the Onam factor becomes crucial. The film has already established strong word-of-mouth among family audiences, and the remaining holiday period gives it an opportunity to accumulate a huge number before the festive window closes. With the Raksha Bandhan weekend also coming up, trade expectations are now reportedly in the range of Rs 225-250 crore worldwide for the full run if the present momentum holds.

While Toxic is releasing on Wednesday, the movie is expected to continue its record breaking run. As Toxic seems to be receiving bad word-of-mouth, theatres might continue to show Bethlehem Kudumba Unit replacing the Pan-India film.
