Days after a video of his altercation with a food delivery partner went viral, Raju Weds Rambai actor Akhil Raj has issued a clarification, saying the incident has been presented without its full context.

In a video shared on his Instagram account, Akhil denied claims that he assaulted the delivery executive over a wrong food order for no reason. According to the actor, the delivery partner was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and verbally abused his mother during the argument. Akhil claimed that he reacted only after hearing the abusive remarks, stating that he could not remain silent when his mother was insulted.

He also stated that he did not attack him but his family panicked that the person is making a video and he should let it go. The actor further explained that his residence has frequently received incorrect food deliveries because of confusion caused by another address in the locality. He said the recurring issue has led to several misunderstandings with delivery personnel.

He remarked that he also did delivery partner jobs earlier in his life and he is not irresponsible. He mentioned that he has gone to police regarding the issue. Responding to criticism on social media, Akhil urged people not to judge him based solely on the viral clip. He said many have branded him arrogant and self-centred without hearing his side of the story. The actor appealed to the public to consider the complete context before forming an opinion.
