Noted producer Sekhar Babu who made several blockbuster films with stars passed away on Friday evening at his residence in Journalist Colony in Hyderabad due to heart attack. Megastar Chiranjeevi starred Mutha Mesthri was biggest hit for the producer.

Sekhar Babu was born in Kolavennu village of Krishna district. His father was a film distributor, so Sekhar Babu too opted to his career in film industry. Superstar Krishna and Jamuna starred Mamatha was maiden production venture for him.

Later, he went on to make films like Sardaar, Gopal Rao Gari Ammayi, Samsara Bandham etc. He offered many services for well-being of Telugu film industry. Sekhar Babu even worked as Chairman for Film Central Board.

Chiranjeevi and few other industry people visited Sekhar Babu’s house to pay their homage!
