Dookudu collections on the first day amounted to be around 9 crores and this is a record in the history of Tollywood. Mahesh Babu Dookudu collections have already started to raise eyebrows as Dookudu movie collections on the 1st day in AP were a whopping 9 crores. Getting into the split, Dookudu collections on the first day were Rs. 45 lakhs in East Godavari district and trade pundits say that it is an all time record. Similarly, Dookudu collections (gross) in Ananthpur on day 1 were around 14,32,500 lakhs, and in Guntur district, the collections were spell bounding as the movie amassed a record share of more than 80 lakhs battering the previous best of Magadheera by 22 lakhs.

Dookudu netted an awesome Rs 15.35 Lakhs from 15 screens in Chennai city & suburbs and this is the highest ever opening for a Telugu film in Chennai! Mahesh Babu's Dookudu movie collected a 1st day record share of 44,11,000 in Krishna district creating a new all time record. Dookudu as per trade sources will collect between Rs 25 to Rs 28 lakhs as distributors share in its 1st week. In Bhimavaram, Dookudu 1st day gross collections were around 10 lakhs from around 24 shows. The collections were around 25.60 lakhs in Nellore and 46.17lakhs in Vizag. Even in USA, Dookudu is rocking and it is reported that the exhibitors would recover the total cost within 2 days.
