Updated : Jul 10, 2017

Baahubali: The Beginning completes two years after its release. The Rajamouli directed film released on July 10, 2015 had smashed all box office records. It was a super hit in Hindi, Tamil and in few other languages. The film that starred Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Tamanna taught many things to industry:

* Telugu filmmakers have credibility to make better films than directors of any other industry.

* Telugu producers have knowledge in judging scripts and make films on own without even associating with corporate production houses. In fact investing hundreds of crores was not an easy task, though several producers are now announcing to make high budgeted films.

* Telugu actors have guts to go any level for a film. Prabhas, Rana and all other lead actors learnt sword fight, horse riding and other things required for the film. They spent years to complete the film.

* The grand visuals in the film were a treat for movie buffs. It was indeed a new experience for them. But, the thing is it was the result of Rajamouli's hard work and dedication towards the film.

* MM Keeravani's music was other big asset for the film. Earlier, filmmakers used to prefer ace composers from other languages for high budgeted films. Keeravani gave answer to them with his masterpiece work. While songs were soothing, background score helped in elevating key sequences.

* Cameraman Senthil Kumar is other backbone of Baahubali success. He made the impossible into possible by capturing right visuals. Now, he has become prime choice for filmmakers who are wishing to make sociology-fantasy and other high budgeted movies.

* Production team designed a new language called Kilkili which is first time in Indian.

* Unlike many Telugu filmmakers, Rajamouli along with his core team promoted Baahubali uniquely by visiting all the places in India. In fact, the film collected more in North, than South, which is the result of Baahubali teams innovative promotions.

We may not cover all the things that Baahubali achieved and the lessons it taught to upcoming filmmakers, but we conclude with the note: "Rajamouli is pride of our Telugu cinema."
