Updated : Aug 3, 2016

The wedding festivities at the Vikram household came to a halt when the soon to be bride Vikram's daughter Akshita lost her diamond ring worth Rs 12 lakh when she visited an ice cream parlour in Chennai on Tuesday. Apparently, she had gone to a popular ice creamstore with her friends and when she returned home, she discovered that the ring was missing. She immediately went to the police and filed a complaint on Tuesday. The cops have already started looking into the matter. She was recently engaged to Manu Ranjith, the great grandson of DMK leader M Karunanidhi.

Based on her complaint, the police registered a case. They collected the CCTV footage from the parlour and verified it. The investigation is still on. Meanwhile, Vikram is basking in the glory right now with his new movie “Iru Mugan”'s trailer which was released and it gave audiences a glimpse of Vikram in dual roles.  Vikram plays a muscled, righteous RAW agent Akhilan. Taking the mask off literally, Vikram plays Love who is the villain of the piece. Nayantara and Nithya Menon are the female leads in the movie.
