Vijay Deverakonda's movie "Family Star" released worldwide on April 5th on theatres. This family entertainer started receiving mixed reviews from the US premiers itself and everyone declared that it is an average family entertainer.

With the negative reviews and word of mouth effected badly on Day 1. The film collected 6 crores share on Day1. Everyone expected that with holiday and families help, the film might recover. Surprisingly, the film crashed on Day 2 with just around 2crores share worldwide.

The film's Nizam share is around 80 Lakhs, and Tillu Square collected 90 lakhs on Day 9th in competition with the new releases. The ticket sales at BMS show that Tillu Square on 9th day (76.36K) sold more tickets than Family Star (71.46K) on the 2nd day.

Its collections are relatively better in USA compared to Telugu states. The film collected nearly 700K+ in USA. Makers said that they reached target audience - families, but they are not even interested to see the film. We have to wait and see, if the Sunday helps the film.
