Speaking about the film, Varun revealed that he deliberately chose a comedy after doing several intense action films in recent years. "I wanted to give audiences a stress-busting entertainer where they can laugh throughout the film. Korean Kanakaraju is a perfect blend of all emotions and a hilarious ride from start to finish," he said.

The actor also underwent a complete makeover for the role, sporting a distinctive Korean hairstyle and working hard to disappear into the character. "I wanted the audience to see only Kanakaraju, not Varun Tej," he shared. He also dismissed the notion that tall heroes cannot excel in comedy, adding that well-written characters make humor work irrespective of an actor's image.

Varun will be sharing screen space with comedian Satya for the third time, and he believes their chemistry is one of the film's biggest highlights. Both actors even trained in the Rayalaseema dialect to make the humor feel authentic.
