Varisu Non Theatrical rights sold for Record Price?

Varisu, starring Kollywood star hero Vijay, would be completed by October. South audience has high hopes for this bilingual biggie. However, there has been a recent update on the subject of non-theatrical rights for this film.

 

The makers have now finalized all non-theatrical deals, which totaled Rs 120 crores. Sun Network acquired Vaarasudu's satellite rights for a hefty Rs 50 crores.

 

Amazon Prime paying Rs 60 crores for the digital rights to all languages, while T Series paid Rs 10 crores for the audio rights. This is a new high for Vijay's films. Vaarasudu is being made on a budget of around Rs 160 crores, and the Tamil theatrical rights are expected to fetch record rates.

 

Dil Raju is producing the film, which is being promoted as a family entertainer, and Thaman is composing the music.
