Analysis:
We have seen several films based on friendship. How different is Vunnadi Okate Zindagi from them. The film’s story is not so unique and it has shades of few old movies. However, director Kishore Tirumala made magic in showcasing friendship of the two in childhood. We can observe purity in friendship in childhood episodes. In fact, the support of their parents to their friendship was persuasive. Good thing is we definitely memorize our childhood friends while watching these sequences, though the same friendship appears unrealistic, perhaps because of ordinary performance from Sree Vishnu. Ram and Anupama Parameswaran’s track was decent. However, the movie turns bit boring towards interval. Actually, the rock-band song was pretty normal. Second half starts with introduction of Lavanya Tripathi who runs a marriage bureau. She gets marriage contract of Ram and Sree Vishnu’s common friend. While Ram tries to convince Sree Vishnu in the marriage, the latter has his own problems for avoiding the former. Common friends couldn’t bear with the misinterpretation between Ram and Vishnu. The sequence of Sree Vishnu explaining his reason for staying away from Ram was convincing. Like in Nenu Sailaja, Kishore Tirumala set VOZ climax also in railway station where few interesting twists in the story were revealed.

Artists Performances:
As we all know Ram is a good performer. And he gave his 100% for Vunnadi Okate Zindage. We indeed travel with this character from start to end. His bonding with each and every character was credible. Sree Vishnu who played Ram’s friend is biggest drawback of the film. He is a single expression artist and gave almost similar expression for any sequence whether it is emotional, fun or romantic. Anupama Parameswaran was cool and innocent as doctor Maha. She looked polite in traditional outfits. Lavanya Tripathi was wasted completely. In fact, she didn’t fit well the role which needed her to wear trendy outfits. Priyadarshi was good as an alcohol lover. The restaurant and beer sequence of Priyadarshi in second half were hilarious. Anisha Ambrose who played a brief role has looked hot. Other artists were okay.

Technical Aspect:
Kishore Tirumala is a good writer and there’s no doubt about it. He penned childhood episodes so convincingly. In fact, dialogues in key portions were thought-provoking. Nonetheless, Kishore failed as director. Most of the portions in second half were forcible, though climax was decent. Devi Sri Prasad has given good album. Nonetheless, the key song of Ram and Anupama performing on stage was not up to the mark. In fact, canning of the song was also ordinary. However, re-recording was delightful. Sameer Reddy’s cinematography was middling and editor Sreekar Prasad should have chopped few sequences in both the halves. Production values of Sravanthi Cinematics were below par.

Verdict:
Vunnadi Okate Zindagi is so slow sluggish in narration. However, there are few good and connecting moments in the film here and there.
