Tollywood glam dolls these days are enjoying unprecedented privileges – high remunerations, screen presence multiple languages and of-course endorsing brands and pocketing hefty sums at leisure. With the stint of any actress in Telugu cinema being highly uncertain, the actresses are trying to make the most of it in success.

This sexy siren is endorsing Shampoo brand Head & Shoulders, Fevicol and was also the brand ambassador for Hyderabad half Marathon and 10K Run. No wonder brands are chasing Anushka contemplating her 'purple patch' in contemporary Tollywood.

 

Next in the race is Tamanna Bhatia – This milky beauty never looked back since Happy Days movie, which has changed her fortunes. Apart from rubbing shoulders with top Telugu cinema heroes, she's also endorsing brands like Saravana Stores, Celkon mobiles, Chennai Shopping Mallm Mangai Night Wear, Sun Direct DTH, etc. What's the significant edge for Tamanna is that apart from Tollywood, she's also sharing screen space in Tamil and other languages thereby making her popular across South India.

 

 

The latest Tollywood entrant to join this endorsement bandwagon is Priyamani. Albeit this hot actress is not being roped in by top brands, she endorsing liquor brands like 8 PM. Besides, Priyamani is also promoting retail outlets and other cosmetic brands.

 

Even Priyamani has the extra edge since she is also finding decent roles in other languages. Charmi, Ileana and Kajal Agarwal are few T'wood beauties who endorsed Big C mobiles. Even Trisha also endorses other products like TVS Scooty, Fanta and a chocolate brand.

 

To encapsulate the theory of celebrity endorsement, brands do chase celebrities to cash in on their growing brand equity. Marketers feel that these celebrities, given their mass appeal, can better push their product into the market for brand visibility.

 

However, the concept of celebrity endorsement might not always be sucessful. There are chances of having a negative impact on the brand there's a misfit between the celebrity and the product. Also, celebrity's personal life is significant since the brands have to make sure that the celebrity is not in the news for wrog reasons.
