Bollywood hero Sanjay Dutt will be remaking Tamil movie ‘Saamay’ (remade as Lakshmi Narasimha in Telugu starring Balakrishna) in Hindi with the title ‘Thanedaar Returns’. Reports say that Southern director KS Ravi Kumar will be directing the Hindi version and also make his Bollywood debut. Further, its being rumoured that Ravikumar will be roping in music director Anirudh Ravichander, who is currently basking on Kolaveri Di song.

Saamy was originally made by Vikram in Tamil and was a successful venture. The Telugu remake was also a reasonably good project and now we have the Bollywood version. ‘Thanedaar Returns’ movie is likely to hit the production floors in April 2012. Director Ravikumar wraps up this movie and then proceeds to Rajinikanth starrer Rana, who by that time completes ‘Kochaidayaan’.
