SS Rajamouli directed and mega power Star Ram Charan starred Magadheera produced by Allu Aravind was a industry hit then. It took years to break the film's final run collections. Producer Allu Aravind planned to make the film in Hindi and kept weapons and other properties with him to use them for Hindi version. Rajamouli denied to direct the film and due to some other reasons Magadheera remake has been shelved.
The makers of Magadheera were shocked after seeing theatrical trailer of an upcoming Bollywood film Raabta which has shades of their film. They are reportedly seeking injunction against the release of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer film alleging plagiarism.
Magadheera makers alleged that Raabta copied its unique story and plot line in violation of its copyright. Raabta's trailer released in April and fans of the S S Rajamouli-directed film drew similarities between Magadheera and the Dinesh Vijan-directed film including the look and appearance of the lead actors - Ram Charan in Magadheera and Sushant in Raabta.
Hyderabad City Civil court issued a notice and posted the matter to June 1st to decide whether the film (Raabta) must be permitted to release on June 9th or not. Let's wait and see where the issue ends!
