Today in a momentous win for the Telugu film industry, the much-acclaimed movie 'RRR' directed by the visionary filmmaker SS Rajamouli has bagged six awards at the 69th National Award and this is a remarkable feat. This recognition, announced by the Central Government on August 24, 2023.

Pride of Indian cinema SS Rajamouli directorial RRR bagged the Best Feature film for Providing Wholesome Entertainment, King Solomon won for Action Choreography, Prem Rakshith won for Naatu Naatu Dance Choreography, Srinivas Mohan won for special effects.

Incidentally, this might be the first time for a father-son duo in Telugu cinema, Keeravani and Kaala Bhairava, to win national awards the same year for the same film. Background Score (M.M. Keeravani) and Best Male Playback Singer (Kaala Bhairava for ‘Komuram Bheemudo’).
