Promising hero Sharwanand’s landmark 35th movie Manamey created curiosity with its first look and first single. Helmed by talented director Sriram Adittya and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory, the film stars Krithi Shetty playing the female lead. Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer, while Krithi Prasad and Phani Varma are the executive producers of the movie. Edida Raja is the associate producer.
The makers kick-started the promotions by unveiling the entertaining teaser. Close to one-and-a-half minute in length, the teaser opens with the stunning magic hour’s shots of London before we are introduced to Sharwanand a Casanova, who gives a character certificate to himself: “Chala manchodila kanipistha, kaani manchodina? Kadhu? (I look like a good guy. Am I? Not),” he says.
Leading lady Krithi Shetty is introduced soon after and she is the complete opposite to Sharwa. She is responsible and sticks to her words. After a chance encounter in India, they fall in love in London and within no time seem to move in together. Their idyllic life turns upside down when a little boy enters their lives. Who is the boy? What is his connection to Sharwa seems to form the gist of the story.
Overall, the teaser is pleasant and promises a cool entertainer this summer. Sharwa seems to have had a ball playing the role as he is in his element. Hesham Abdul Wahab’s score is lively. The film also stars Seerat Kapoor, Shiva Kandukuri, Vikram Adittya (master), Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna and Rahul Ravindran.
Tipped to be a unique family entertainer, the movie will be released in May 2024. Popular technician Prawin Pudi is the editor and Jonny Shaik is the art director. The dialogues for the movie are provided by Arjun Carthyk, Tagore, and Venky.
